IPL 2022: KL Rahul Joins Lucknow Super Giants Bio-Bubble, Says "We Will Work Towards Winning"

KL Rahul has joined the Lucknow Super Giants bio-bubble ahead of IPL 202. He will start training after staying in a mandatory quarantine period for three days. Rahul was signed up by the franchise ahead of the mega auction as one of their three draft picks. They further built a strong squad by adding quality players in the mega auction.

KL Rahul took to his official Instagram handle to let his fans know of him joining the LSG bio-bubble. He even shared a message ahead of the season and spoke about how he is looking to approach the season with his new franchise. The video was reshared by the LSG Twitter handle as well.

Next Two Months Are Going To Be Very Special: KL Rahul

“Hey everyone, KL here. Just got into the Lucknow Super Giants’ bubble this morning. Really hoping these three quarantine days can finish quickly so I can get out and meet the squad and get to know all of them.

“The next two months are going to be very special. It’s going to be a lot of fun, working with all the guys.”

He further said that he is looking to meet all the new players in the squad while adding that they will look to play to win this season. He also said that the new season allows them to do something special with a new franchise.

“We all are going to try and work together, towards winning. The new season gives us a great opportunity as a new franchise to do something special and everyone on the team is very excited to do that. Can’t wait for the season and can’t wait for all of us to get on the park and win games together,” Rahul added further.

Lucknow Super Giants will begin their campaign by facing newcomers Gujarat Titans on March 27 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai.

Lucknow and Gujarat are the two franchises that have been added into the IPL fold as it becomes a 10-team event from IPL 2022. The BCCI finalised four venues in Maharashtra to host 74 games between March 26 to May 29.

Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each while the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune will play hosts to 15 games each.
