IPL 2022: LSG Coach Andy Bichel Appreciates KL Rahul And Hails His Unbeaten 103 As "Superb" Performance

KL Rahul, the leader of the Lucknow Super Giants, smashed an incredible 103 against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, according to coach Andy Bichel.

It was his second century of the season against the Mumbai Indians and his third overall in the IPL.

Rahul’s one-man performance led his team to their fifth victory of the campaign and fourth place in the standings.

Lucknow Super Giants defeated Mumbai Indians by 36 runs thanks to KL Rahul’s 103-run innings and Krunal Pandya’s three-wicket haul.

“KL was incredible. When they delivered wide to him, he played beautifully off the front foot and opened the face of the bat. He was excellent at pulling the ball into the gaps. “I also think he did a good job with the ground measurements,” Bichel added.

KL Rahul fined Rs 24 lakh for second over-rate offence:

KL Rahul has been penalized Rs 24 lakh for bowling at a sluggish rate against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) (MI).

Rahul had committed his second over-rate penalty of the season. He was fined Rs 12 lakh for the first offence.

“KL Rahul received a fine of Rs 24 lakh. The remaining members of the playing eleven were fined a total of Rs 6 lakhs. “Or 25% of their match cost, whichever is less,” the IPL stated in a statement.

“This was the team’s second violation of the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum over-rate offences this season.”

KL Rahul’s unbeaten 103 and Krunal Pandya’s three-wicket haul helped Lucknow Super Giants upset Mumbai Indians by 36 runs at Wankhede Stadium.

After losing the game, MI fell to the bottom of the table for the eighth time in a row.

At the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on Saturday, MI will face Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR).
