Moeen Ali has been one of the best performers for the yellow army as in 15 matches, Ali picked 6 wickets and made 357 runs with the highest score of 58 at a strike-rate of 137.30 and hit 19 sixes and 31 fours for the MS Dhoni-led team.
On other hand, CSK will miss the services of Deepak Chahar for a healthy part of the IPL 2022 but they have decent backups in terms of Indian pacers like Mukesh Choudhary, Tushar Deshpande, KM Asif and Rajvardhan Hangargekar.
Moeen Ali is a key member of the CSK squad:
Moeen Ali, who was one of four players retained by Super Kings before the auction, was instrumental in the team’s fourth IPL title last year. In 2021, he was the third-highest scorer for the Super Kings, hitting 357 runs in 15 innings with a 25.50 average and a 137.30 strike rate.
Moeen’s role as the aggressor was demonstrated by the fact that he was sixth on the list of hitters with the most sixes, with a tally of 19.
Moeen was more than just a useful offspinner; he was also a pivotal bowler, with a match-winning session of 3 for 7 against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in the early stages of IPL 2021.
In the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. KKR chased down a 132-run mark with six wickets and nine balls to spare.
CSK XI Against KKR: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Robin Uthappa, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (capt), MS Dhoni (wk), Shivam Dube, Mithcell Santner, Dwayne Bravo, Adam Milne, Tushar Deshpande
