IPL 2022: Mohammed Siraj Reveals Virat Kohli's Advice To Him During His Poor Run In The Tournament

Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj has revealed a piece of advice that the former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, Virat Kohli, gave to him during his poor run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Siraj, who was RCB’s one of the three pre-auction retentions along with Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell, had an awful run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

Speaking at the trailer launch event of ‘Bandon Me Tha Dum’ by Voot Select, Siraj said that he has faith in his abilities and he will definitely make a strong comeback in white-ball cricket.

“Records are meant to be broken. When you talk about the IPL, I also made a record when I bowled two maidens and took three wickets. Till now, that record is intact.

“I don’t look at things like that. I agree that this year my performance hasn’t been great. In the previous two years, when I performed so well with the white ball…that was also Siraj, and this is also Siraj.

“One IPL performance doesn’t change the perception about Siraj. I know that I will make a comeback. I’ve faith in my ability,” said the Indian pacer.

Siraj opened up on the conversation he had with Kohli during his struggle in the cash-rich league. He revealed that Kohli had advised him to stay in present and to stay confident.

“Yes, Virat bhai told me: ‘You’ve the ability, work on that. Don’t think too much about not being able to perform well. Ups and downs come in everyone’s life. Just stay in the present. Just focus on your performance and stay confident about what to bowl in which situation,” he said.

While talking about Kohli’s struggle for runs in recent times, Siraj said that Virat Kohli can make a strong comeback anytime.

“As I said, there are ups and downs in everyone’s life. He’s ‘King Kohli’. He can bounce back anytime. He will score runs in a crucial situation,” Siraj asserted.
