The BCCI confirmed that they have permitted the two franchises to begin recruiting players after CVC Capital was given the Letter of Intent (LOI). They were informed via mail on Wednesday morning.

According to Cricbuzz, the letter stated that January 22 was the final date. “They have time till 5 pm on January 22 to complete their signings,” revealed a BCCI official.

Earlier, the apex board had decided to give two weeks time to decide but since the process was delayed due to the issue with CVC, it has been confirmed that ten days is more than enough to sign the three players. Once the players are confirmed, the remaining cricketers will be added to the auction pool.
