New Zealand’s Trent Boult is broadly viewed as one of the most deadly quick bowlers in modern cricket. Boult is as of now a piece of the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the 2022 Indian Premier League, where he is the main pacer for the team.

Throughout recent years, Boult has imparted an extraordinary contention to a portion of India’s best batters including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul among others. Nonetheless, when the Kiwi speedster was asked which Indian hitter played him the best, Boult had an unexpected pick.

Trent Boult Picks Karun Nair As The Batter Who Plays Him Best

Boult picked his kindred Rajasthan Royals colleague Karun Nair as the player who took him on splendidly among Indians. Strangely, Boult has not bowled to Nair in an international game or the Indian Premier League, yet the Kiwi pacer accepted that the 30-year-old Indian player plays him productively in the net sessions.

“I haven’t bowled Karun Nair in a game, but he has the ability to put any kind of ball I throw to him at the nets. So, at the moment, I would say Karun Nair,” Boult told ESPNCricinfo during a question-and-answer session.

Curiously, Nair isn’t a piece of the Indian squad in any format right now. The right-handed player last played for India in 2017 during a Test against Australia in Dharamsala. He has addressed India in six Tests and two ODIs and holds the record for being the second Indian to score a triple-century in Test history.

Nair had accomplished the accomplishment during the fifth and last Test of the series against England in Chennai. Batting at no.5, Nair stayed unbeaten on 303 as India secured an innings-and-75-run triumph over the guests, securing a 4-0 series win.

In the ongoing season of the IPL, Nair has shown up twice for the Royals up until this point; while he was unable to move forward on his debut for the franchise against Kolkata Knight Riders (3), Nair didn’t bat in his second game against Delhi Capitals.
