IPL 2022: Pitch Invader Who Entered The Field During RCB vs MI Game Arrested
Pitch invasions are nothing new in cricket. The most recent incident happened in the Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians game in the Indian Premier League.
A man who was later identified as Dasrath Jadhav, a 26-year-old from Satara, Maharashtra invaded the field in the 2nd innings of the game.
Man Invaded The Field To Greet Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are arguably the biggest names in Indian cricket today. One is a former India captain, the other one has just been handed over the full-time captaincy in all the 3 formats of the game.
Jadhav invaded the field when Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat were batting in the middle chasing a target of 151. Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians scrapped their way through to a respectable total courtesy of fine innings by Suryakumar Yadav.
MI after a good start lost wickets in tandem and were struggling in the middle, but a fine knock by Yadav saw them to a good enough total.
The invader entered the field and tried to go near Rohit Sharma but Rohit Sharma was smart enough to move away from him. But Rohit Sharma still gave him a virtual hug.

Jadhav also fist-pumped Kohli. He then moved towards Rohit. Kohli scored a valuable 48 runs and took his side close to the target. He was given LBW in controversial circumstances.
The man was later arrested for entering the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
Jadhav was charged under IPC sections 447 (criminal trespass) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty ) as he allegedly indulged in an altercation with police while being taken out of the ground, said Senior Inspector Madhukar Sawant of Talegaon police station.
