Former Australian pacer Glenn McGrath said Prasidh Krishna is high on confidence and bowling well at the moment. The Rajasthan Royals pace bowler is having a great time with the ball in the IPL 2022.
Prasidh has paired with New Zealand speedster Trent Boult as Royals’ new-ball bowling combination. The Karnataka bowler has claimed eight wickets in seven games of IPL 2022 so far with an economy rate of 8.14.

In the match against Delhi Capitals, the Rishabh Pant & co needed 36 runs in the last two overs with Rovman Powell (16 off nine balls) and Lalit Yadav (37 in 21 deliveries) looking well-settled on the crease to take their team past the finishing line. Prasidh’s tremendous efforts were overshadowed by the no-ball drama in the final over but that didn’t stop the Royals from clinching a 15-run win. McGrath applauded Prasidh, who trained at the MRF Pace Foundation, for bowling the penultimate over with ultimate confidence.
“To see Prasidh bowl a fantastic penultimate over against Delhi Capitals in IPL on Friday just shows that these guys can handle pressure,” McGrath, who is the Director of Coaching at the famed MRF Pace Foundation, told reporters on Saturday in Chennai.
“I have always liked Prasidh’s attitude. He is always keen to bowl in the nets. He is getting results in the middle of the hard work he puts in during training which shows his quality.
“He is mentally strong and has a good attitude. He is bowling well at the moment. He is high on confidence,” the 52-year-old added.
Earlier in the match, Rajasthan Royals opener Jos Buttler scored 65-ball 116 to power the team’s total to 222/2. It was Buttler’s third century in IPL 2022 and fourth in the last eight IPL innings.
