The fever for IPL 2022 has begun as the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to commence soon. Chennai Super Kings will battle against Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening game of IPL 2022 on March 26. The venue of the clash is Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Shubman Gill takes the 5th spot on this list. Last season, Gill slammed 50 boundaries while representing Kolkata Knight Riders. The right-handed batsman played 17 matches and scored 478 runs at an average of 28.11. Hitting 3 half-centuries, he was also the top run-getter for Kolkata Knight Riders. Shubman Gill will play for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022.

4. Prithvi Shaw- 56

Prithvi Shaw takes the 2nd spot on this list. Last season, the right-handed batsman shattered 56 boundaries in the tournament. He was part of Delhi Capitals and played as an opener for the team. He scored 479 runs in 15 games at an average of 31.93. Shaw also hit 4 half-centuries in the tournament, batting at a strike rate of 159+. He will again play for Dehli Capitals in the 2022 season.

3. Faf du Plessis- 60

Faf du Plessis slammed 60 boundaries in the last season. The right-handed batsman was part of Chennai Super Kings in the last season. In 16 games, he slammed 633 runs at an average of 45.21. Plessis also slammed 6 half-centuries in the tournament. The South African batsman will lead Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

Shikhar Dhawan grabs the 2nd spot on this list. Playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021, the left-handed batter slammed 63 boundaries in the tournament. He scored 587 runs in 16 matches at an average of 39.13. Dhawan also hit 3 fifties in the tournament with the highest score of 92. Dhawan will play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022.

He scored 4 fifties and 1 century in the tournament. Gaikwad has been retained by CSK for the 2022 season.
