IPL 2022: Twitter Erupts As MS Dhoni Hands Over Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) Captaincy To All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja

The legendary India National Cricket Team and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the CSK captaincy to spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
The shocking development was confirmed by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, March 24 through an official release. In the statement released by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), it was asserted that Dhoni has decided that he will not continue as captain and has picked Jadeja to lead the team in the cash-rich league. It further added that Dhoni will continue to represent the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and beyond.

“MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team. Jadeja, who has been an integral part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK. Dhoni will continue to represent Chennai Super Kings this season and beyond,” CSK stated.
Notably, Ravindra Jadeja has become only third captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after legendary MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina, who was released by the franchise ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is arguably the most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). As a captain, Dhoni has played 204 games and had won 121 games and he had a win percentage of 59.60.
Also, under his leadership, Chennai Super Kings won 4 Indian Premier League championships and Dhoni is also a two-time Champions League T20 winning captain. Fans on Twitter were left stunned after Dhoni decided to pass on the captaincy to Jadeja and it is definitely the end of an era for Chennai Super Kings and Dhoni fans.
