Royal Challengers Bangalore lost their 2nd consecutive game in IPL 2022 as their batting failed yet again as they lost a low scoring game by 29 runs.

They did well to restrict Rajasthan Royals to 144 but they couldn’t get going in their chase.

Faf won the toss and chose to field first and his bowlers responded well to the decision. They picked up three wickets in the powerplay including that of in-form Jos Buttler. Sanju Samson then tried to resurrect the innings but he got out to Wanindu Hasaranga for the 5th time in the T20s in trying to play a reverse sweep.

RR continued to lose wickets at regular intervals but Riyan Parag held one end up and scored his 2nd 50 in IPL cricket. That helped RR post 144 runs on the board.

The best bowler for RCB was yet again Josh Hazelwood who picked up 2 wickets for 19 runs.

RCB did not start well as they lost Virat Kohli early, then Kuldeep Sen who was making a comeback to the side picked up the wickets of Faf and Glenn Maxwell in the same over. That put RCB on the backfoot and from there RCB just couldn’t make a comeback into the game at all. Shahbaz tried to put the innings back on track for RCB but he too failed courtesy of a brilliant catch by Riyan Parag. Kuldeep Sen and Prasidh Krishna then finished things off for RR.
