South Africa’s legendary pacer Dale Steyn has arrived in India to begin his coaching stint with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the IPL 2022 and mentioned in a video posted by the franchise, that he was happy to be back in India.

Steyn, who retired from cricket last year, had played previously for the SRH franchise, will join the SRH coaching staff that boasts the head coach Tom Moody, batting coach Brian Lara, and spin bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan.

SRH team changed their head coach as they parted ways with Trevor Bayliss after the franchise finished at the bottom of the IPL 2021 points table with just three wins to their name and a lot of bad press after how David Warner was dropped from his captaincy position and then from the playing XI altogether.

SRH decided to retain only three players before the IPL 2022 auction in Kane Williamson, who will captain them in IPL 2022, and the Jammu-Kashmir duo of Abdul Samad and Umran Malik.
