IPL 2022: Wasim Jaffer Applauds Kuldeep Yadav And Yuzvendra Chahal As 'KulCha' Dominates The IPL 2022 Season

Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricketer, hailed Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal for outstanding performances in the IPL 2022 on Thursday. Chahal and Yadav, also known as “KulCha,” were one of the tournament’s leading wicket-takers.

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal, India’s spin duo, are in prime form in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During the 41st IPL 2022 encounter at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, Yadav took four wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), featuring KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer and dangerous player Andre Russell. With an economy rate of under-fiver runs, the DC spin bowler gave up only 14 runs in three overs.

KKR only ended up scoring 146 runs in 20 overs, losing nine wickets in the process. Mustafizur Rehman, a DC speedster, also took three wickets in the KKR innings’ final over. Nitish Rana had the highest score of 57 runs off 34 balls, while Iyer had 42.

With six wickets lost, Delhi Capitals reached the mark in the 19th over. Man of the Match was awarded to Kuldeep Yadav.

Chahal and Yadav, also known as “Kulcha,” have taken the most wickets so far in the IPL 2022. Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricketer, praised the spin duo for their exceptional performance in this season’s tournament.

Chahal now holds the purple cap with 18 wickets, while Yadav is second with 17 wickets. Both players competed in eight games. It was fantastic to have “Kulcha” back in action, according to Jaffer. Rajasthan Royals (RR) has Chahal, whereas Delhi Capitals has Yadav (DC).

Chahal is also the only player in the 15th edition of the tournament to accomplish a hat trick. Yadav, on the other hand, took two times four wickets haul in the tournament. Both spinners have lately been dropped from Team India.
