Punjab Kinga opener Shikhar Dhawan believes he has a lot more to offer in the T20 tournament and that his team should’ve been more consistent on Punjab’s IPL run
Dhawan has maintained his excellent form in the IPL, scoring 421 runs for Punjab Kings with one match remaining. Since 2015, the graceful opener Dhawan hasn’t scored under 300 runs in the competition, showcasing his consistency.

Dhawan had a couple of successful seasons with the Delhi Capitals, but the two split ways before the 2022 campaign. Punjab Kings secure his services at INR 8.25 crore in the mega auction. Along with skipper Mayank Agarwal, he has been a fixture at the top of the order for the franchise.
Dhawan thinks that his T20 knowledge will be beneficial.
“Even though I am still an important member of the team, I believe that my expertise allows me to contribute in the shortest possible time. In the T20 format, I’ve been doing fairly well. I’ve performed admirably in every role that has been assigned to me.”

“I’ve been able to maintain consistency in the formats that I’ve played, whether it’s the IPL or domestic cricket, and I’m enjoying it. Consistency means not only consistently scoring in the fifties or hundreds, but also keeping even gaps between them “In an exclusive interview with PTI, Dhawan said.

Punjab has yet another season of missed opportunities.
“I would have liked to see the club win more games, and I thought we did a good job as a batting unit at times and a poor job as a bowling unit at other times, but we should have been more constant. We could be in a much stronger place if we would have done that “In his first season with the team, Dhawan stated.
Dhawan has been a consistent performer in the IPL and was formerly a member of Delhi’s squad. After representing the Mumbai Indians, Deccan Chargers, and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
