The former Pakistan skipper highlighted the pitches for the IPL 2022 season, as well as made a humorous remark regarding the surfaces used in the Pakistan-Australia Test series.

Despite the fact that the dew factor played a key influence, the pitches were competitive.

Salman Butt, a former Pakistan captain, discussed the pitches used throughout the Indian Premier League so far, saying that he is pleased with the pitches’ ability to aid both batsmen and bowlers.

‘In this IPL, the pitches are amazing. The ball is swinging, and you’re watching high-scoring games at the same time. Batsmen who are afraid of the movement are striking the ball quite well after they settle in.

“Umesh Yadav and Tim Southee bowled well, while Harshal Patel impressed us the other day. So the new-ball bowlers are getting a lot of help,” Butt noted on his official YouTube account.

Butt added that such pitches are “excellent news” for pacers, citing Umesh’s success against PBKS as an example. “Umesh Yadav has a fantastic rhythm. He’s doing a fantastic job with the lengths.”

“This is great news for all of the pace bowlers competing in this year’s IPL.” “I believe the pitches are fantastic overall,” Butt remarked.

Butt also mentioned the pitches used in the just-finished Test series between Pakistan and Australia, adding, amusingly, that any pitch in the IPL would be better than the ones used in the three Tests.

“In comparison to the pitches we saw in the Test series between Pakistan and Australia, I think all pitches would be better,” Butt remarked.

Andre Russell hit an unbeaten 70 from 31 balls, including eight sixes, to help the two-time champions reach the 138-run goal with more than five overs to spare.
