Hat-tricks are one the of rare and exciting moments in the game of cricket. If we talk about the Indian Premier League, there are 17 bowlers who have managed to grab a hat trick in the tournament. Out of these, 15 bowlers have taken a hat-trick just once. Below we take a look at the 5 bowlers with the most hat tricks in IPL.

5. Samuel Badree- 1
Since many bowlers have taken hat-trick only once in IPL, we induct the bowlers who had the best bowling figures in that match. Hence, Samuel Badree gets the 5th spot on this list. IPL 2017, the West Indies spinner grabbed a hat-trick while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Badree dismissed three batsmen of Mumbai Indians namely Parthiv Patel, Mitchell McClenaghan, and Rohit Sharma. He gave a big blow to MI’s top order. In all, he grabbed 4 wickets for 9 runs in the match. Mumbai Indians managed to win the match by 4 wickets.
4. Ajit Chandila- 1
In IPL 2012, Rajasthan Royals off-spinner Ajit Chandila clinched a hat-trick against Pune Warriors. The off-spinner gave a big blow to Pune Warriors’ top order. He dismissed openers Sourav Ganguly and Jesse Ryder on the last two balls in the 1st over and then dismissed Robin Uthappa on the first ball of the third over.
Rajasthan Royals batted first in the match and posted 170-4. Later, Pune Warriors could only manage 125-9 in the 2nd innings and lost the match by 45 runs. Ajit Chandila picked 4 wickets in the match for 13 runs.
3. Makhaya Ntini- 1
Former South African pacer Makhaya Ntini also picked a hat-trick in Indian Premier League. In the debut edition of IPL 2008, Ntini was part of Chennai Super Kings. In a match against Kolkata Knight Riders, the right-arm pacer grabbed a hattrick.
Kolkata Knight Riders batted first in the match. Ntini dismissed Sourav Ganguly, Debabrata Das, and David Hussey in consecutive balls to grab the limelight. In total, he picked 4 wickets for 21 runs in the match. Chennai Super Kings also won the match by 3 runs.
2. Yuvraj Singh- 2
Yuvraj Singh takes the 2nd spot on this list. The former Indian all-rounder has picked two hat-tricks in IPL and both of them in the same season. In the 2009 season, Yuvraj Singh was part of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings).
He picked a hat-trick against Royal Challengers Bangalore in one match. The left-arm spinner picked 3 wickets for 22 runs in the match. Later, in another match against Deccan Chargers, Singh bagged a hat-trick. This time, he picked 3 wickets for just 13 runs in the match.
1. Amit Mishra- 3
Amit Mishra clinches the top spot on this list. The Indian spinner has grabbed three hat-tricks in IPL so far. Amit Mishra picked hat-trick in the 2008, 2011, and 2012 seasons, playing for different teams. In the 2008 season, the right-arm spinner picked a hat-trick for Delhi Daredevils against Deccan Chargers.
In the 2011 season, Mishra picked a hat-trick while playing for Deccan Chargers against Kings XI Punjab. In the 2012 season, Mishra picked a hat-trick against Pune Warriors, while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
