KKR vs LSG: Vijay Dahiya Lauds Mohsin Khan For His Match-winning Spell – He Has Been Phenomenal

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) assistant coach Vijay Dahiya praised Mohsin Khan after the left-arm pacer produced a game-dominating spell against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. On Wednesday, May 18, Khan got three critical wickets of Venkatesh Iyer, Abhijeet Tomar, and Andre Russell, thereby laying adversity on the KKR batting unit.

On the back of his bowling exertion, the Super Giants won against the Knight Riders by 2 runs and got a seat in the playoff games. In eight matches, the 23-year-old Khan has bowled at express speed and has gotten 13 wickets at an economy rate of 5.93.

Vijay Dahiya Impressed By Mohsin Khan

Vijay Dahiya said that Khan has bowled incredibly, remembering that he is playing his first Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

“Mohsin Khan has been phenomenal. Sometimes, you look at the numbers if you have not watched the game, or look at the numbers in the last couple of games as well. But if you are watching and seeing what he has done, the situation that he has bowled in, according to me, he has bowled the best two overs,” Dahiya was quoted as saying in the post-match press conference.

“Barring one game, he has bowled really well. For a youngster playing his first IPL, coming back and delivering, it’s phenomenal. It speaks not only about his skills, but also his mental side,” he stated.

Vijay Dahiya Lauds KKR Batters

Vijay Dahiya likewise lauded the Knight Riders’ players for making LSG really buckle down for the triumph. In the last four overs, Rinku Singh’s 15-ball 40 and Sunil Narine’s seven-ball 21 kept alive KKR’s expectations of success. Dahiya said that the Super Giants would be more ready for comparable situations in the forthcoming matches.

“Let’s give credit where it’s due. KKR batters put our bowlers under pressure. We’ll go back and see what can be done because there is a possibility that we’ll be in the same situation. But the way they batted, a lot of credit needs to be given to them,” Dahiya added.
