KKR vs MI: Nitish Rana, Jasprit Bumrah Reprimanded For Breaching Code Of Conduct

Kolkata Knight Riders batter, Nitish Rana, and Mumbai Indians ace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, have been penalized by the IPL authorities for breaching the code of IPL conduct.
Both the players were sanctioned for their breach after the match between KKR vs MI at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Wednesday. Rana was fined 10 percent of his match fees against Mumbai Indians.

“Nitish Rana from Kolkata Knight Riders has been reprimanded and fined 10 percent of his match fee for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Mumbai Indians at Pune.
“Mr. Rana admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” an official statement from IPL read, as published on IPLT20.com.
“Jasprit Bumrah from Mumbai Indians has been reprimanded for breaching the TATA Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Kolkata Knight Riders at Pune.
“Mr Bumrah admitted to the Level 1 offence of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction,” the statement further added.
The exact reasons behind the sanctions to Rana and Bumrah are not disclosed either by IPL officials or the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

KKR handed Mumbai Indians their third defeat in a row in IPL 2022 as the Shreyas Iyer-led side chased the moderate score of 162 in 16 overs with five wickets remaining.
Australian player Pat Cummins, who played his first match for KKR this season, blitzed 56 runs off 15 balls at a staggering strike rate of 373.33.
Cummins scored the joint-highest fastest fifty in IPL after he brought up his third IPl fifty in just 14 balls to join Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul in the milestone.
Cummins smashed four boundaries and six sixes, he pummelled Australian teammate Daniel Sams for 34 runs in the 16th over to take KKR past the finishing line.
