Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Prasidh Krishna could have well ended fellow teammate, Trent Boult’s participation in their game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with a rabid throw on Monday.
After setting KKR a target of 153, Rajasthan started well with the ball, conceding just 11 runs in the first two overs. Boult, who had bowled the first over giving away just 6 runs, continued the attack from one side.
On the first delivery, his contribution could have well come to an end if not for a swift reaction. KKR opener, Baba Indrajith drove the first delivery of the 3rd over straight to Krishna at mid-on, who gathered and fired a throw.
It was wayward and was nowhere close to the stumps. In fact, the ball was fired straight at Boult, who jumped and got hit on the boot. Luckily, he avoided getting hit on the shin or the ankle, thereby eliminating the potential of a serious injury.
