Mohammad Kaif, a former Indian cricketer and cricket analyst, feels the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have an advantage over the Delhi Capitals (DC) in their IPL 2022 match.

Kaif is well aware of DC’s quality, having worked with the players as an assistant coach there.

However, the 41-year-old believes LSG has gained much-needed momentum with back-to-back victories heading into tonight’s match.

LSG’s batting won the game against CSK, and their bowling against SRH ticked all the boxes, according to Kaif.
Mohammad Kaif highlighted why LSG has a head start over DC. He expressed himself as follows:

“Lucknow, in my opinion, is gaining ground. Because of their hitting, they won the first game. Evin Lewis is on top of his game right now. In the past game, KL Rahul was back to his old self. Their bowling helped them win their previous game. With four wickets, Avesh Khan was sensational. Hooda and Ayush Badoni are also on fire.”

Mohammad Kaif did not fully neglect DC:

Mohammad Kaif, on the other hand, did not fully neglect DC. He believes that their recent success will provide them with the confidence to make a successful return. He continued, ”

“Lucknow, in my opinion, is 5% ahead of Delhi. However, Delhi has enjoyed a successful three years, reaching the final a year ago. So they know how to bounce back after a setback. As a result, it will be an exciting competition.”

DC will be playing for the first time at the DY Patil Stadium, whereas LSG has previously played there. This, according to Mohammad Kaif, might be a critical aspect because Lucknow would be familiar with the conditions and how the pitch behaves.

DC will seek to return to winning ways against LSG with the return of stars like David Warner and Anrich Nortje.
