On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore won 8 games and lost 6 out of 14. With 18 points, RCB finished at the 4th spot in the points table.

Both the teams earlier played a match against each other in which Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to outplay Lucknow Super Giants. Batting first in the match, RCB posted a powerful total of 181-6. Skipper Faf du Plessis slammed a spectacular 96-run knock. Glenn Maxwell (23) and Shahbaz Ahmed (26) also added a few runs on the board.

For LSG, opener Quinton de Kocok got out for just 3 runs while his partner KL Rahul scored 30 runs. One-down Manish Pandey also left the crease cheaply with 6 runs. Krunal Pandya and Marcus Stoinis added some runs with their knocks of 42 and 24 respectively. However, LSG could only reach 163-8 in 20 overs and lost the match by 18 runs.
