In Friday night’s IPL 2022 match between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Mumbai Indians, Aakash Chopra praised MS Dhoni for demonstrating his calm and composed mentality to a run chase (MI).
Dhoni helped CSK overcome MI by scoring an undefeated 28 off 13 deliveries. He snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with 16 runs off the final four balls of the match.

MS Dhoni’s coolness under circumstances astounded Aakash Chopra. He elaborated:
“You needed 16 runs off four balls,” said the coach. MS Dhoni first knocks a six – deep in the crease – and then dismisses the yorker straight down the ground. He smacked a four on the next pitch, and he was prepared for the short pitch.”
“He next tries to hit a yorker, but the ball travels to deep mid-wicket, allowing him to score two runs. Last ball four runs – who is this guy who can hit a four with a sweep? This person has an ice-cool demeanour. There was a lot of pressure, but it didn’t bother him.”
Chopra remarked:
“He (Dhoni) had a good day yesterday, is having a good day today, and will have a good day tomorrow. He came out on top in a close encounter. He demonstrated that the lion has only recently grown old yet has not forgotten how to hunt. Our guy is a gem.”
Everything is on one side, and MS Dhoni is on the other: Aakash Chopra
MS Dhoni’s knock, according to Aakash Chopra, was the game-winning performance. He went on to say:
“In this match, we may talk about a lot of people. Mukesh Choudhary can be discussed because he bowled exceptionally well. He took three wickets to begin with, breaking the opposition’s back, but just 150 runs were scored.”

“We can talk about Daniel Sams, Tilak Varma, and Ambati Rayudu, not to mention Dwaine Pretorius’ contribution, but all of it is on one side, while MS Dhoni’s knock is on the other.”
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 3 wickets in the IPL 2022’s 33rd match, which was contested at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 21.
