Southee delivered a back of a length ball and the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was cramped by the angle and he went back to defend and to tuck it to the leg. However, it looked like the ball flew off the thigh pad to the wicket-keeper Sheldon Jackson and he was able to grab a good diving catch.

The on-field umpire denied the appeal for caught behind, which led to Kolkata Knight Riders opting for a review. There were large spikes on the UltraEdge before and after the ball passed the bat and there were also spikes on the UltraEdge when the ball was passing the bat.
