South African youngster Dewald Brevis has had a few memorable outings so far in the few games that he played. His best came in Mumbai Indians’ previous match against Punjab Kings. Brevis slammed Rahul Chahar for a four and four consecutive sixes in the ninth over, which included a massive 112 metres six over long-on.

Dewald Brevis has been chosen over Tim David by the franchise and the experiment has paid off so far. He has played a few good cameos and his innings in the last match was a special one. Ahead of Mumbai’s game against Lucknow Super Giants, Brevis spoke to Star Sports on his brief career so far and the players who inspired him to take up the sport. He mentioned the name of AB de Villiers and how big an influence has been in his career.

He also spoke about his cameo which for a moment made the Mumbai fans believe that they would win the game. However, with his dismissal, the hopes were dashed as well.
