Piyush Chawla, a former Indian leggie, has predicted the key match between the Punjab Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants on Friday in Pune.

Chawla stated that LSG all-rounder Marcus Stoinis should be upgraded to the batting role.

The dependability of LSG’s middle order was attributed to the hitters not having sufficient time in the middle. KL Rahul hasn’t received much assistance from the other hitters, according to Chawla, who believes Manish Pandey should step up.

“It had happened before when the top of the order left early and the hitters who came in later played well. They aren’t receiving as much playing time as they used to, and they aren’t getting as many matches as well. As a result, it affects their batting.”

He continued by saying, “With the way KL Rahul has been playing, he simply requires a little help at the other end, which he now lacks; nevertheless, I anticipate it in the forthcoming games. Manish Pandey appears to be out of sync, which is a cause for concern. Since the last 2-3 seasons, he’s been like this.”

In four matches, the Australian all-rounder has amassed 72 runs. He has, nevertheless, maintained a 163.64 strike rate with a top score of 38*.

Stoinis batted brilliantly for the Delhi Capitals after being promoted up the line, according to Chawla. Because the right-handed batsman requires some time to acclimate, he believes LSG should follow suit.

According to Chawla, “When it comes to Stoinis, he batted up the order for the Delhi Capitals and had a successful season. As a result, he must be promoted here as well. When the innings conclude, he hits near the bottom of the order.”

“Stoinis is a player who requires five or six deliveries to focus, which isn’t happening. If Lucknow is promoted, he will reap the benefits.”
