DC vs RCB Dream11 Prediction

Punjab openers Mayank Agarwal (52 runs) and Shikhar Dhawan (70 runs) started off on a positive note with a 97-run partnership against Mumbai Indians. Then young players Jitesh Sharma (30 runs) and Shahrukh Khan (15 runs) upped the ante and scored the runs at a quick rate to finish with 198 runs on board in 20 overs. Liam Livingstone and Jonny Bairstow missed out with the bat in the last game.

Pacers Kagiso Rabada, Vaibhav Arora, and Arshdeep Singh picked up 3 wickets between them and kept the scoring rate under control in the last game. Punjab Kings pacer Odean Smith held his nerve in crucial moments to help his team win by picking up 4 wickets. Punjab Kings spinner Rahul Chahar had an off-day last game but held his composure beautifully after a massive 29-run over.

SRH openers skipper Kane Williamson (57 & 42) and Abhishek Sharma (75 & 41) did the bulk of scoring both the chases in the last 2 games with Nicholas Pooran and Rahul Tripathi playing some vital knocks to cross the line. Aiden Markram is yet to make a mark with the bat with his limited opportunities.

T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed 2 wickets each in the match to strangle the opposition. Marco Jansen too has been superb with the ball while Umran Malik has been inconsistent with his economy rate slightly. Shreyas Gopal may come in place of injured Washington Sundar in this match.

SunRisers Hyderabad has won two consecutive games but has its own set of problems. Their batting is weak in the lower middle order and losing their best bowler spinner Washington Sundar due to an injury has hurt their bowling attack. Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Washington Sundar will miss the next two games for his team after splitting the webbing of his bowling hand.

Apart from Washington Sundar, Rahul Tripathi also injured himself during the match against GT but he will be available. Rahul Tripathi suffered a calf injury but later SRH management confirmed that it was a cramp and the batter is 100% fit.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan had a sedate start to his IPL 2022 season as he scored 43 off 29 balls against RCB but scored only 16 against KKR. He has scored 92 runs so far. He comes to a franchise after having scored almost 1200 runs for Delhi across four seasons.

Punjab Kings bought him for Rs. 8.25 crores during the auction. Last year, Shikhar Dhawan gave a magnificent batting show playing for Delhi Capitals. He scored 587 runs in 16 games in IPL 2021. He is the second-highest run-getter in the history of the IPL. He has scored 197 runs in 5 IPL 2022 games averaging 39.4 and is Punjab’s leading run-getter this season.

Mayank Agarwal

Appointed as captain of the side, Mayank Agarwal has a lot of experienced players to bank upon. He scored a good-looking 32 in his first match as captain against RCB but was dismissed in the very 1st over against KKR after scoring 1 run off 5 balls. He is yet to fire managing only 94 runs in 5 IPL 2022 games averaging a mere 18.8, but scored his first fifty (52) against MI, the other night.

Mayank Agarwal gave a good batting show last season. He scored 441 runs in 12 games at an average of 40.09. He had an eventful 2020 season where he scored a spectacular ton against the Rajasthan Royals amassing 424 runs in 11 games. He increased his run tally to 441 runs in the following season and PBKS will want their skipper to continue this trend and score big in the next games.

Jonny Bairstow

In his short IPL career, Jonny Bairstow has notched up as many as 7 fifties and 1 hundred in the IPL.  Tenacious England wicketkeeper-batsman was a new entrant to the IPL who was bought for Rs. 1.5 crore by the SRH team management for the 2019 season.

Jonny Bairstow, a member of England’s 2019 World Cup-winning squad, is one of the cleanest strikers of the ball and can win the matches for his team on his own. Punjab Kings brought him on board for INR 6.75 Crore and Jonny Bairstow, like he has done a number of times, will be out to take the opposition by storm while playing for PBKS. He has scored only 20 runs in 2 innings from 3 games averaging 10 in IPL 2022 and would look to amend his stats.

Liam Livingstone

Liam Livingstone should be the middle-order batsman for the team. Last season, he opted out of the tournament due to bubble issues. He has scored 98 runs including a 60 against CSK in a winning cause in an IPL 2022 match besides taking  2 scalps in the same match.

While his IPL stint was with Rajasthan Royals in 2019, he was one of the biggest Punjab Kings signings – INR 11.50 Cr – during the TATA IPL 2022 auction. He has scored 164 runs so far in IPL 2022 averaging 32.8 at an impressive strike rate of 186.36. His 2 wickets came at an average of 37.5.

Shahrukh Khan

The Kings splurged 9 crores to rebuy Shahrukh Khan after a promising IPL 2021 season. He made an impact in the very first game scoring an unbeaten 24 and taking his team to a win alongside Odean Smith. He is the assigned finisher in the PBKS lineup alongside Odean Smith.

Last season, he scored 153 runs in 11 matches at an average of 21.86.  He has scored only 60 runs in 5 IPL 2022 games averaging a mere 15 and more is expected from him.

Rishi Dhawan

Rishi Dhawan has led from the front for Himachal Pradesh. The all-rounder was his team’s leading run-getter and wicket-taker during their triumphant Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign earlier this year and had an impressive Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season with the ball. An experienced campaigner, Rishi Dhawan, will be out to set the stage on fire for Punjab Kings in the TATA IPL 2022. His last IPL match came in 2016.

PBKS bought the all-rounder Benny Howell from England for INR 40 Lac. Benny Howell, who is known to have a deceptive slower delivery in his arsenal and is handy with the bat, has so far played 157 T20s and 2122 runs and 163 wickets against his name.

He has plenty of variations under his sleeves and is one of the pioneers when it comes to bowling off cutters, leg cutters, and knuckleballs in T20s. He is also a decent hitter lower down the order.

Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh, the left-arm pacer was one of the only two players retained by Punjab Kings. Arshdeep Singh had a memorable IPL 2021 taking a bagful of wickets and the franchise certainly sees him as a future prospect. It is this season that he has to repay the faith the franchise has placed in him.

Last season, he picked 18 wickets in 12 games for the team at an impressive average of 19.0. He has picked 2 scalps in 5 IPL 2022 games averaging 68.

Kagiso Rabada

With his experience and pace strength, Kagiso Rabada will be a crucial bowler for the team in IPL 2022. Last season, he was part of the Delhi Capitals and scalped 15 wickets in 15 games. Punjab Kings bought him for Rs. 9.25 crores during the auction.

He was IPL 2020’s leading wicket-taker (purple cap winner). He didn’t play the first game of IPL 2022 for being in quarantine. He scored 26 runs and had bowling figures of 1/23 in the 2nd match against KKR. Against CSK, he also picked up 1 wicket. He had picked 6 scalps so far in IPL 2022 playing 4 games averaging 19.16.

Rahul Chahar

Rahul Chahar was picked by Punjab Kings for Rs. 5.25 crores during the IPL 2022 mega auction. Playing for Mumbai Indians last season, the right-arm spinner scalped 13 wickets in 11 games. In IPL 2022, he has picked 7 scalps in 5 games averaging 20.71, and is Punjab Kings’ leading wicket-taker.

Vaibhav Arora

While Kolkata Knight Riders picked him during the 2021 IPL auction, he will now don the Punjab Kings jersey in IPL 2022 and look to put on some impressive performances for the side. He played his first game against CSK in their last game and returned with figures of 2/21. He has picked 3 scalps in as many IPL 2022 games for Punjab Kings averaging 32.66.
