Virat Kohli has been doing “all that is inside his control,” but there reaches a moment in a player’s career when fielders take the initial edge, according to RCB head coach Sanjay Bangar, who defended the former India captain after his second golden ball duck.
Kohli was dismissed for his fifth golden duck on Saturday, upsetting his fans even more.

Kohli, who hasn’t scored a century in any format in over three years, has been dismissed for ducks in consecutive games, following a pattern of dismissals outside the off-stump.
He had battled in South Africa with Marco Jansen, who got him out with a beast of a ball. This time, the speed and movement offered were too much for him. The ball touched his bat and was smartly saved at slips by Aiden Markram. This one was his fifth golden duck in the Indian Premier League.
Sanjay Bangar was strong in his backing for Virat Kohli:
“He (Kohli) has been a constant performer for the Royals. These kinds of snags occur in the lives of players.” Bangar stated, “He started the season pretty well, nearly hit the winning runs in Pune, but then you have an odd run-out or the first edge that finds his bat landing in fielder’s hands.”
Bangar avoided the question of Kohli needing a long rest because former Indian national team head coach Ravi Shastri believes he is “over-cooked.”
“He is unquestionably doing everything within his power. He’s working on his fitness and talents, taking frequent breaks, and not succumbing to the pressure. He has been taking regular breaks and will continue to do so in the future.”

Bangar defended Virat Kohli vehemently, stating that he understood why people have strong feelings about him because he has been such an important player for India for so long.
“Even looking at the South Africa series, his 80-odd in one of the Test matches was a terrific effort,” Bangar observed.
RCB lost by nine wickets after being dismissed for 68 runs with 72 balls remaining as SRH chased down the score.
