Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Marco Jansen cleaned up Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis in the 36th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, on Saturday, April 23.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to field first and they made no changes in the playing XI. Similarly, Royal Challengers Bangalore also fielded the same playing XI from the previous match.

Meanwhile, Marco Jansen came up to bowl the second over of the match and on the second ball itself he was able to pick up the crucial wicket of the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, who has been in good form in the Indian Premier League 2022.
Jansen bowled an amazing 133.6kph fullish delivery and the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain played down the wrong line for the swing, however, the ball held its line and went on to uproot the off-stump.
Du Plessis got out after scoring just 5 runs and in the same over Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat also got out without scoring a run.
IPL has been offering something to the bowlers in the first six overs – Faf du Plessis
The Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis, at the toss, said that the surface in the IPL 2022 has been offering a lot to the bowlers in the first 6 overs and it’s a big challenge for the batters to survive. He said:
“It’s our first game here, the whole campaign it’s looked like a pretty decent surface. This year more than ever, the IPL has been offering something to the bowlers in the first six overs. That comes as a nice challenge to the batters.”
He added that a good start is crucial for the team to reach a good total. RCB skipper elaborated:
“If you can have a good start and get through it, you are going to put a nice total. The pitch has looked like a consistent batting pitch. We have to assess and play accordingly from there. For me, it’s a case of believing in the guys. As a team, you certainly don’t want to rely on one or two guys. Someone needs to put their hand up and luckily we’ve had guys who have done that consistently but also we have shared responsibilities through the team.”
