SRH vs RR Dream11 Prediction

The inaugural match of IPL was played between both the teams in which KKR won by 140 runs due to a 158* off just 73 balls by Brendon McCullum. Royal Challengers Bangalore registered the lowest score in the history of IPL – 49 all out against KKR in an IPL 2017 match.

In IPL 2022 opening fixture, KKR bowlers set the platform by restricting CSK to just 131 on a good batting wicket. Pacer Umesh Yadav, the Man of the Match, led the way with two early wickets. CSK never got any momentum going before ex-skipper MS Dhoni and skipper Ravindra Jadeja got together to provide a late surge, stitching a 57-ball unbeaten 70 run stand to help CSK to a respectable total.

Chasing the target, Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer got off to a brisk start. Ajinkya Rahane played well for his 34-ball 44 while the others chipped in to take KKR past the finish line easily.

In Royal Challengers Bangalore’s opening fixture against Punjab Kings, the latter won by 5-wickets at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.  A captain’s knock from Royal Challengers Bangalore’s skipper Faf du Plessis turned out to be in a losing cause as a complete batting effort from the Punjab Kings powered them to a victory in a high-scoring thriller.

Faf du Plessis managed to turn things around after having scored just 17 off his first 30 balls, Virat Kohli supported him with 41 off 29, and Dinesh Karthik provided the finishing cameo of 32 off 14 balls.

Chasing a gigantic total of 205/2, Punjab Kings openers – Shikhar Dhawan joined by skipper Mayank Agarwal responded in a strong fashion. In his 22-ball 43, Bhanuka Rajapaksa took down compatriot Wanindu Hasaranga, who had taken opener skipper Mayank Agarwal’s prized scalp. Another debutant, Odean Smith, Man of the Match, closed the game down with an unbeaten eight-ball 25.

Kolkata Knight Riders Team News – KKR To Be Without Pat Cummins And Aaron Finch

KKR destroyed the defending champions in Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener by 6 wickets to get off to a strong start to their season. They played with only 3 overseas players for the first game which was the right decision, to say the least. KKR will still be without their lead pacer Pat Cummins for this game. The Australian white-ball captain Aaron Finch is unavailable as well.

Kolkata Knight Riders Probable Playing 11

Shivam Mavi and Andre Russell struggled to execute their plan very badly against MS Dhoni in the first game. KKR does have the option of playing an additional overseas player in the place of keeper Sheldon Jackson. The overseas options available on the bench are Chamika Karunaratne, Mohammad Nabi, and Tim Southee.

KKR Probable XI:- Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Sam Billings, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy

Royal Challengers Bangalore Team News- RCB Will Be Without Glenn Maxwell

Royal Challengers Bangalore Probable Playing 11

Both Mohammed Siraj (2/59 in 4 overs) and Akash Deep (1/38 in 3 overs) were too expensive. While Mohammed Siraj will be playing against KKR for his record against them, Akash Deep may be replaced by Siddharth Kaul.

RCB Probable XI:- Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Shahbaz Ahmed, Wanindu Hasaranga, David Willey, Harshal Patel, Siddharth Kaul, Mohammed Siraj
