Chennai Super Kings faced a defeat against Gujarat Titans in their previous match of IPL 2022. In the low-scoring tie, CSK posted 133-5 batting first, with Ruturaj Gaikwad (53 off 49) and N Jagadeesan (39 off 33) hitting top knocks. Mohammed Shami scalped 2 wickets for GT.
