Rahul Tripathi clinched a blinder to dismiss Shubman Gill in the 3rd over of the first innings.
Gill got out for 7 off 9 balls.
Early Jolt To Gujarat Titans
Shubman Gill was coming into the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad with two high scores to his name. He was in top form as he had notched up two 80+ scores in his last 2 games after getting out for a nought in the first game of the tournament.
Shubham Gill started well against SRH as well as he hit Marco Jansen for a four but in the next over against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, in trying to hit an outswing delivery on the up towards cover, he played it in the air, Rahul Tripathi then jumped to his left and grabbed the catch with one hand.
GT had a very good start to their innings as Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggled to find his kind and length in his first over. He gave away 16 runs in the over with two wides resulting in boundaries.
In the 2nd over, Gill looked to take charge against Bhuvneshwar, but his innings were cut short courtesy of a brilliant catch by Rahul Tripathi.
Earlier in the day, Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to field first. SRH had beaten Chennai Super Kings in their last game after losing their first two games. While GT is still undefeated in the tournament.
