SRH vs PBKS: Twitter Reacts As PBKS Thump SRH To Register Consolation Victory In Final League Game

Punjab Kings (PBKS) ended the IPL 2022 season on a majestic high as they dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad in a one-sided victory at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
The final league game of the season got underway with Sunrisers batting first. Abhishek Sharma led the way with a good phase in the powerplay while Priyam Garg and Rahul Tripathi were dismissed at the other end.
Aiden Markram fell after scoring a 17-ball 21 and Nicholas Pooran had a forgettable outing making five runs in ten balls. They were struggling at 99/5 at the end of the 16th over.
However, Washington Sundar and Romario Shepherd then gave a boost, putting up 58 runs in the final four overs to set a target of 158. In the response, Punjab got off to a good start courtesy of Jonny Bairstow.
Although he fell early after scoring 23, Shahrukh Khan and Shikhar Dhawan kept the momentum. Each batter coming after the fall of a wicket ensured the run rate kept moving up before Liam Livingstone applied the finishing touches.
He scored a 22-ball 49 with five maximums, including the 1000th six of the IPL 2022 season. The win comes as a consolation victory for PBKS after they were knocked out following the win of RCB on Thursday.
