Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik played a remarkable cameo knock in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday, May 8 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik, who was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction for INR 5.50 crore, has consistently delivered sensational performances for his team in the 15th edition of the cash-rich league.

Dinesh Karthik has looked dangerous as a finisher and he has dominated almost every bowling attack he has played against in the tournament.

Meanwhile, in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he came out to bat after the dismissal of Australian star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who got out on the second ball of the 19th over after scoring 33 runs off 24 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Dinesh Karthik played two dot balls and after that, he went completely berserk against the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers. He smashed a six off the last delivery of the 19th over, which was bowled by Kartik Tyagi and he continued his dominance in the last over.

Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled the final of the match and Karthik got the strike on the third ball. He smashed 3 consecutive sixes on the 3rd,4th and 5th delivery before ending the over with a four. He scored 30 runs off 8 balls, including 1 four and 4 sixes to help Royal Challengers Bangalore post 192/3 on the board while batting first.

Overall, Karthik’s performance in the 20th over of the Indian Premier League 2022 has been exceptional as he has faced 23 balls and has smashed 71 runs at a strike rate of 308.70.
