Sunrisers Hyderabad bought a total of 20 players during IPL 2022 auction. Some of the key players that the team picked during the auction were Washington Sundar, Nicholas Pooran, T  Natarajan, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Nicholas Pooran was the team’s top pick at Rs. 10.75 crores.

Sunrisers Hyderabad had a salary purse of Rs. 68 crores in their kitty during IPL auction 2022. The franchise earlier spent Rs. 22 crores to retain 3 players in their squad. The team retained Kane Williamson for Rs. 14 crores, Abdul Samad for Rs. 4 crores, and Umran Malik for Rs. 4 crores.
