Twitter Reacts As Deepak Chahar Gets Sold To Chennai Super Kings (CSK) For INR 14 Crore

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought back bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, which is being held at Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru on Saturday, February 12.

Chennai Super Kings retained Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and they released Deepak Chahar.

However, Chennai Super Kings went all out in the auction to buy back Deepak Chahar and in the process, the bowling all-rounder became the most expensive player bought by CSK in the history of the IPL auction.

Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar, who had set his base price at INR 2 crore, triggered the bidding war between the teams. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals were very interested in picking Deepak Chahar and they escalated his price to INR 4.8 crore in no time.

They kept fighting to acquire the services of the bowling all-rounder before Chennai Super Kings entered the fray. There was an intense bidding war between Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals and in the end, Chennai Super Kings were successful in bringing Deepak back to the squad for a whopping INR 14 crore.
