IPL Media Rights Winners Announced For 2023-27 Cycle, Star India Bags TV Rights, Viacom18 Bags Digital Rights
Star India took home the TV rights for the IPL 2023-27 cycle while Viacom18 pocketed the Digital Rights for India, the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah confirmed on Tuesday.
The e-auction lasted for three days with four packages available to be purchased and the total amount added up to INR 48,390 crores. While Star won the TV rights with INR 23,575 crore bid, Viacom18 took Digital Rights with INR 23,758 crore bid.
“Since its inception, the IPL has been synonymous with growth & today is a red-letter day for India Cricket, with Brand IPL touching a new high with e-auction resulting in INR 48,390 cr value. IPL is now the 2nd most valued sporting league in the world in terms of per match value!” Shah tweeted.

Star Sports had the current rights for the media cycle from 2017 to 2022 having bid INR 16347.50 crore for both TV and digital back in September 2017.
