Playing With MS Dhoni Helped Me, Could See My Performance Get Better - Shivam Dube
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Shivam Dube found a new lease of life playing for CSK in the IPL 2022 season. He had a great time with the bat in hand but left a lot to be desired with his bowling.
Nevertheless, Dube learned a lot while playing under CSK skipper, MS Dhoni. The left-hand batter got to bat alongside the former India captain and also received tips on improving his bowling.
“Playing under MS Dhoni was a great learning experience. He is a role model and mentors to the entire team. Playing with him helped me a lot and I could see my performance get better,” Dube told IANS.
“Whenever I step on the pitch, I try to give my best but sometimes it’s just not your day. There have been instances wherein I have performed very well with the bat but not done well in bowling,” he also acknowledged.
Shivam Dube eyes return to international cricket
Dube has fallen off the selectors’ radar following emergence of new talents. However, he is aiming to return to the national team in the hopes of producing match-winning performances for India.
“My ultimate goal is to be part of the Indian cricket team again and win matches for my country. I am training every single day, following a strict nutrition programme and making improvements.”
