The uproar surrounding another exciting edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has already started with the high-profile auction already done and dusted. However, the Governing Council is still finalising the schedule. As reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants to host the final at the renovated Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Motera is one of the oldest cricket stadiums in India and has hosted many memorable matches. But the officials decided to renovate the stadium five years ago and expand it to accommodate more than 100000 fans during a game. In October 2015, the stadium was demolished to allow for a big-scale renovation. The redevelopment was initially planned to be completed in 2019, will now be most likely done by March 2020. And BCCI is planning to make a grand opening of the stadium by hosting the IPL 2020 final.
