Delhi Capitals are placed second on the table after five games and they have won four of those with 8 points on board. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has left the Delhi camp citing personal reasons and will return if the Covid condition in the nation improves.

Prithvi Shaw produced a fine knock of 53 runs in 39 balls which helped Delhi get to a respectable score of 159 on the board. He played shots of the highest quality on both sides of the wicket and the powerplay score was very crucial on a slow wicket like Chennai. He deserved the man of the match award for his excellent performance.

Shaw had to take the responsibility of hitting boundaries as Shikhar Dhawan could not get going at the start but the partnership went on to 81 for the first wicket.

Shaw’s innings composed of seven fours and one six and he has been in good form so far in the tournament. He was unfortunate to be run out and he had to blame himself for the bad call he made. He will be a game-changer for the Delhi Capitals against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
