Delhi Capitals (DC) did manage to scrape through against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a super over thriller and they will now be against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Delhi Capitals are placed second on the table after five games and they have won four of those with 8 points on board. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has left the Delhi camp citing personal reasons and will return if the Covid condition in the nation improves.

Rabada bowled the final over and SRH needed 15 to win with Williamson and Suchith at the crease. SRH managed to take the equation to 4 runs needed of 3 balls. They could not put bat to ball in the next three deliveries and the leg byes helped them to get to the super over criteria. Delhi won on the last ball of the super over and here are 3 stars from Delhi Capitals who will be game-changers against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

3 Stars From Delhi Capitals Who Will Be Game Changers:

Prithvi Shaw:

Prithvi Shaw produced a fine knock of 53 runs in 39 balls which helped Delhi get to a respectable score of 159 on the board. He played shots of the highest quality on both sides of the wicket and the powerplay score was very crucial on a slow wicket like Chennai. He deserved the man of the match award for his excellent performance.

Shaw had to take the responsibility of hitting boundaries as Shikhar Dhawan could not get going at the start but the partnership went on to 81 for the first wicket.

Shaw’s innings composed of seven fours and one six and he has been in good form so far in the tournament. He was unfortunate to be run out and he had to blame himself for the bad call he made. He will be a game-changer for the Delhi Capitals against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Shikhar Dhawan:

Shikhar Dhawan leads the race for the orange cap so far in the tournament and he has already scored 259 runs in 5 games. He has been scoring consistently for the Delhi capitals at the top and the most impressive part has been strike rate which he has had problems with in the past.

He played different kinds of innings on different wickets and made sure that the team doesn’t lose wickets regularly. Dhawan scored 28 off 26 in the previous game with three fours and his form has led to Delhi dominating the proceedings from the top order.

He is the best batsman on display so far in the tournament, and he will be a game-changer for the Delhi Capitals if he continues his good run of form.

Axar Patel:

Axar Patel pulled out a magical super over that won the Delhi Capitals the previous game. He came back after being in quarantine for a long time since being tested positive and he was straight away picked in the playing elevens ahead of all-rounder Lalit Yadav. He did not have much role to play with the bat.

But he bowled four overs picking up two wickets and went for just 26 runs. He took two wickets in two balls which changed the course of the game and it was very hard for the batsman to hit the left-arm spinner.

He wanted to bowl the super over and he bowled brilliant six deliveries which restricted SRH to just seven runs. With R Ashwin leaving, the onus will be on Axar Patel to deliver for the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming matches.
