Mumbai Indians are coming off a defeat in their previous game against Delhi but they will be hoping to bounce back soon in their next fixture against Punjab Kings. Mumbai Indians have won two games and lost two games so far in their campaign and are place fourth in the standings with a decent net run rate.

But they still have some work to do with their batting which hasn’t been able to post formidable totals on board. The bowling has been good at times and Rahul Chahar has been the standout bowler for the franchise so far.

Jasprit Bumrah would like to add more wickets to his tally and Hardik Pandya needs to deliver as a batsman in the side. Here are 3 stars from Mumbai Indians who will be game-changers.

3 Stars From Mumbai Indians Who Will Be Game Changers:

Rohit Sharma:

On the tough Chennai wickets, Rohit has managed to get some useful scores which have helped Mumbai a lot. So far, he has scored 138 runs in 4 games which is not bad considering the pitch is difficult to bat on. However, Mumbai will expect big innings from him which can change the game around.

His captaincy has been outstanding so far, but he has some hamstring issues which should be wary of. He did not take the field against Delhi Capitals and Kieron Pollard led the team in his absence.

However, he will have a big role to play with the bat at the top and he was the top scorer in the previous game with 44 off 30 balls hitting three sixes and three fours.

Hardik Pandya:

Despite the struggling form of Hardik Pandya, he is still going to play an important part in this Mumbai Indians as a finisher. The Chennai pitch has got the better of him so far and he was dismissed for a duck in the previous game which Mumbai will be worried off. He hasn’t been bowling too, and it has been a problem for Mumbai.

Hardik has scored 35 runs in 4 games so far and these numbers aren’t good enough for a number five batsman. He has been very effective in the field and his two runouts against Sunrisers Hyderabad changed the game on its head totally.

He is one of the most destructive batsmen in the death overs and can be very hard to bowl at with his trigger movement. Mumbai will expect him to take a lot more calculated risks.

Trent Boult:

The New Zealand Speedster Trent Boult has been delivering time and time for the Mumbai Indians and he has already started the season well. He has picked up 6 wickets in four games and his three-wicket haul against the Sunrisers was very crucial in deciding the outcome of the match.

Boult has swung the ball both ways in the powerplay and has provided good starts with early wickets in the powerplay. Delhi did not allow him to dictate things and was quite convicted in the way they played him.

The speedster is one of the best death bowlers in the tournament and has been hitting the yorkers and the slower ones to perfection. He can be a game-changer with the ball for the Mumbai Indians.
