Punjab Kings (PBKS) succumbed to another defeat in their previous encounter against KKR and they will be up against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their next fixture. Punjab have won two games and lost four games so far in their campaign and are lying seventh in the table with just four points in six games.

KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal did not get the start they would have liked to and their strike rates weren’t good too. The middle-order failed completely and they managed to put up only 123 against KKR which was chased down very easily.

The bowling efforts were decent, but they would like to have more impact from experienced heads like Shami. Here are 3 stars from Punjab Kings who will be game-changers against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

KL Rahul’s strike rate hasn’t improved by any far and he is looking to bat deep which has been a concern for the Punjab Kings at the top of the order. Despite his consistency at the top, Punjab has lost a lot of games, and one of the reasons is that he isn’t playing the hard hitter role at the top.

Punjab Kings have gone too defensive in the powerplay and losing early wickets is not helping them too. Rahul has scored 240 runs in 6 games so far in the tournament and he scored 19 off 20 balls in the previous innings against KKR. Rahul will need to stop worrying about the middle order and needs to play aggressively at the top to set up a base for the likes of Pooran and Hooda. Rahul can be a game-changer once he gets his eye in.

Shahrukh Khan:

The new recruit Shahrukh Khan has shown a lot of maturity at times and got the team to a respectable score after some collapses in the batting order. He is spoken of highly in the domestic circuit and it will only be a matter of time since he starts unleashing talent. He scored a quickfire 47 against CSK when all the other batsman failed.

Apart from that, he hasn’t got many deliveries to apply himself or show his potential with the bat. He can move slightly up the order at four and Hooda could come in at six to give an opportunity for him to express himself.

He is one of the best strikers of the cricket ball in India and Punjab Kings will have to use him wisely to get more out of him. He is too good a batter to be coming in at seven, and he will be a game-changer if gets going.

Ravi Bishnoi:

Ravi Bishnoi’s brilliant catch to dismiss Sunil Narine in the previous game will go down as one of the best in the tournament and he has been bowling well too. He did not play the first few games but did have an impact once he came into the team. He has been controlling the middle overs really well.

He wasn’t able to pick up any wicket in the previous game against KKR, but he bowled an economical spell of four overs for just 19 runs. He is a very clever bowler and doesn’t give away many boundaries which have been a feature about him so far in his impressive start to the IPL career.

Bishnoi also cramps the batsman for room and he attacks the stumps always. He will be a game-changer for the Punjab Kings.
