Delhi Capitals have started their campaign this year with a dominating win over the Chennai Super Kings and they are set to face Rajasthan Royals in their next fixture. Delhi has a strong squad this year and despite losing the services of their skipper Shreyas Iyer, they still have a team that can challenge any other top franchise.

Prithvi Shaw’s scintillating form from the Vijay Hazare Trophy continued into the first match against CSK and all the other batsmen chipped in with some runs. Rabada will be available for the next game against Rajasthan Royals which means Tom Curran could be the one to miss out.

Anrich Nortje has tested positive for Covid and he will be out too. Here are 3 stars who can be game-changers for Delhi Capitals against Rajasthan Royals.

3 Stars Who Can Be Game Changers For Delhi Capitals:

Prithvi Shaw:

Prithvi Shaw has been in fine form ever since he was dropped from the Indian test squad and has worked a lot on his batting technique. Shaw played brilliant innings at the top in the first game against Chennai Super Kings which made it easier for the middle-order batsman who had very little run rate pressure. He scored 72 in just 38 deliveries and his quickfire innings was tough to stop for MS Dhoni.

Prithvi Shaw always looks to take on the bowling which can give work in the favour of the bowlers as well. He does provide the opponents with a lot of chances by taking risks and it could very costly if the opportunity is missed by the opponent as we saw in the opening game. His strike rate has been on the upper curve and he will one of the game changers against Rajasthan Royals too.

Marcus Stoinis:

The Australian all-rounder did not have much impact in the first game but scored a hefty 14 runs off just 9 balls which almost sealed the victory for Delhi Capitals. He hit three fours in the innings and there was a lot of class about the shots he played. He has a huge role to play in this Delhi Capitals lineup.

Stoinis who had an excellent season with the bat and ball in the last edition bowled 2 overs in the match which went for 26 runs. He provides the much-needed balance in the team as a finisher and the sixth bowler which makes him an important asset to the team. Stoinis will raring to score few more runs if he gets a chance with the bat and also better his performance with the ball.

Chris Woakes:

Chris Woakes showed why he is one of the best new-ball bowlers in the world at the moment and he was right on the money from the first delivery with an outswinger. He bowled a testing line and picked up the wicket of Ruturaj Gaikwad in his second over with beauty. He finished with figures of two wickets for 18 runs in his 3 overs spell.

He should have completed his four-over quota but it did not happen and Ashwin leaked a lot of runs from his four-over spell. He bowled a superb last over which reduced the target for the Delhi Capitals from anywhere near 200 t0 just 188. He will be having very few chances to prove himself as the availability of Anrich Nortje could alter the plans in the forthcoming days.
