Punjab Kings (PBKS) have been dealt with a massive blow as their skipper, KL Rahul has been diagnosed with Acute Appendicitis and he will undergo surgery to get treated. This certainly means that KL Rahul has been ruled out of IPL 2021 with only a month of the tournament left now to play.

KL Rahul has been the best batsman for Punjab Kings this season as he has led by example and scored the most runs this season. He is also the current Orange Cap holder and Punjab will certainly miss him as they prepare for the second half of the tournament this year. In the last game too, Rahul smashed a scintillating half-century for PBKS and helped PBKS win the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

It is indeed a massive blow for the side. If Rahul undergoes surgery, it will be difficult for him to make a comeback in this year’s IPL. In his absence, Chris Gayle might be named as the new skipper of the Punjab-based franchise as he is the most experienced campaigner in the Punjab dugout.

Punjab Kings To Take On Delhi Capitals
