Facing them are Kolkata Knight Riders, who have made a dramatic turnaround in the second leg of IPL 2021. Two consecutive wins in two matches have helped them jump to the fourth position on the points table with 4 wins in 9 matches. They have 5 games left to be played and need to win four to qualify.

Kolkata Knight Riders have played a fearless brand of cricket and it has worked out well thus far. The fast bowlers are doing a terrific job. Lockie Ferguson has picked four wickets in the last two games, while Prasidh Krishna and Andre Russell have picked three each.

KKR restricted MI to 155 runs in the last game. Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill, once again, made a fearless start, while Rahul Tripathi joined them later. KKR, as a result of that, chased down the score in just 15.1 overs. Iyer scored 53 runs off 30 balls, while Tripathi blazed his way to 74 off just 42 balls.

Runs coming from the top of the order is a great sign for KKR. The franchise would hope that they continue scoring runs consistently for the rest of the season.
