CSK vs PBKS- Toss Report, IPL 2021 Match 53.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) have won the toss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 53 of IPL 2021 and elected to field first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. In their last group game of the season, Chennai Super Kings will take on the Kings from Punjab in the scorching heat of Dubai, aiming a finish at the top spot of the points table.

Both these teams have had contrasting fortunes so far in the tournament as CSK have already made it to the playoffs of IPL 2021 while Punjab Kings are still hopeful of a qualification spot in the IPL 2021 playoffs. However, the equation isn’t entirely dependent on their own performance as Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians are still in the hunt for the final spot.

CSK might go ahead with a few changes in their playing XI as Suresh Raina was left out the last time they stepped on the field in IPL 2021 against Delhi Capitals. CSK were dealt with a massive blow as their star all-rounder Sam Curran was ruled out of IPL 2021 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, following a lower back injury.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, have been too irregular with their first XI throughout IPL 2021 and in their last IPL 2021 group fixture, we can expect the same from the side. Ravi Bishnoi has done tremendously well for the franchise in this year’s UAE leg and they might continue with him in place of Adil Rashid.

Chennai Super Kings (Playing XI): Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w/c), Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood

Punjab Kings (Playing XI): KL Rahul(w/c), Mayank Agarwal, Aiden Markram, Sarfaraz Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Moises Henriques, Chris Jordan, Harpreet Brar, Mohammed Shami, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh

Batting First Has Proved To Be Beneficial So Far

Dubai is the biggest venue across all the three venues where the IPL 2021 fixtures are taking place. The wicket has also slowed down in Dubai as the innings proceeds forward and thus, winning the toss and batting first, might prove to be a good decision in the scorching heat of the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Both these teams have a lot of batting prowess as the main focus will be on their star batsmen including Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Nicholas Pooran.
