Making a comeback, Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 47-run knock off 41 balls, while Rishabh Pant also remained unbeaten at 35 off 21 balls. Delhi Capitals are now just one win away from booking a playoff berth.

Facing them are Rajasthan Royals, who snatched victory out of the jaws of defeat against Rajasthan Royals in their last game. Rajasthan Royals put on a blistering batting performance in the first innings. Sanju Samson went cheaply, however, other batsmen namely Evin Lewis (36 off 21), Yashasvi Jaiswal (49 off 36), Sanju Samson (4 off 5) and Liam Livingstone (25 off 17) made significant contributions.

Rajasthan Royals, at one stage, looked like reaching the 200-run mark, however, Shami and Arshdeep bowled beautifully in the death overs to restrict them to 185. Punjab was equally brilliant with the bat as KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal batted wonderfully in the second innings.

Punjab had the game in their grasp till the 18th over of the innings, however, two sensational last two overs from Muztafizur Rahman and Kartik Tyagi helped RR snatch victory from Punjab, winning the game by just 2 runs. Tyagi gave only 1 run in the final over to register an improbable victory for the side. Kartik Tyagi finished with figures of 2 for 29 in 4 overs.

Rajasthan Royals would confident of defeating Delhi Capitals in their next game on Saturday.
