KKR Wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has been reprimanded for breaching the IPL code of conduct during the game against Delhi Capitals in Qualifier 2 yesterday. KKR restricted the run flow from Delhi Capitals, and the spinners used the conditions to their advantage.
In the end, the 135 run chase looked very paltry for the KKR side, who got off to a fantastic start and made sure they were always above the required net run rate. There were some slight hiccups with a string of wickets at the back end of the innings, but Rahul Tripathi came to the rescue and won the game for KKR.

Dinesh Karthik Accepts The Sanction
Dinesh Karthik had admitted to the level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL Code of conduct, but the reason for the breach had not been specified anywhere. It is believed the breach could be for having dislodged a stump in anger during his dismissal, and that could be one of the possible reasons.
“Karthik admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.2 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” An official statement said.

Kolkata Knight Riders Enter Their Third Final
Kolkata Knight Riders having finished seventh in the first phase of IPL 2021 in India, had come a long way in moving to the finals, and they had to be given a lot of credit for their tactical plans. The youngsters turned up for the side in crucial times and showed their worth in the side while the experienced had more of a say in words than with the bat. They have a 100 percent win record in the finals, and this could be another title year for them.

Kolkata Knight Riders will meet Chennai Super Kings in the finals of the IPL 2021, and this will be a high voltage clash.
