Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is one team that has made the least changes to its squad post-IPL 2021 auction. The franchisee only released 5 players from their squad ahead of IPL 2021 auction and purchased only 3 players during the event. Kedar Jadhav (Rs. 2 crores), Mujeeb Zadran (Rs. 1.5 crores), and J Suchith (Rs. 30 lakh) were the new additions in SRH after IPL 2021 auction. Hence, the David Warner-led team has not replaced most of its players for IPL 2021.
Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Bavanaka, Fabian Allen, Sanjay Yadav and Prithviraj Yarra were the players which SRH released ahead of the auction. The IPL 2016 winners SRH retained 22 players in their squad. After three acquisitions in IPL 2021 auction, the team now has 25 players in their squad.
SRH have been a consistent team since 2016. After lifting the trophy in IPL 2016, the team qualified for playoffs in every following IPL tournament. The credit goes to a few players who have become the core of Sunrisers’ strength. These players have performed over-the-top for the team for the last few years. These players are also expected to be part of every match that SRH plays in IPL 2021. Here we will have a look at five of these players who will play every match of IPL 2021 for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
IPL 2021: 5 Players From SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) Who Will Play Every Match
David Warner
David Warner has every reason to be part of SRH in every game of IPL 2021. The left-handed batsman is the team’s skipper and also among the leading run-scorers in the team. Last season, the Australian batsman was the leading run-scorer for SRH and third-most overall. He smashed 548 runs in 16 games, hitting 4 half-centuries in the process. The 34-year-old Warner is going to lead SRH in IPL 2021 too and he will be one cricketer who will step on the field in every match of SRH.
Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan was magnificent for SRH during last season. He was the leading wicket-taker for the team with 20 wickets in 16 games. With his 5.37 average economy in IPL 2020, he was the best bowler while conceding runs. The Afghanistan cricketer is a bowling all-rounder which means he can also lend a hand while batting. Therefore, he is expected to feature in every IPL 2021 match of SRH.
Manish Pandey
Manish Pandey was the second-most leading run-scorer for Sunrisers Hyderabad after David Warner in IPL 2020. He played 15 innings scoring 425 runs for the team. He also smashed three-fifties which consisted of an unbeaten knock of 83 runs. Among the domestic players in the team, Manish Pandey is a prominent batsman. SRH team will keep him in every match due to his commendable batting skills.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Last season, Bhuvneshwar Kumar could only play 4 games for SRH due to injuries. His absence affected the team’s performance as they failed by just one step to reach the finals. SRH do not have a dominant overseas pacer in the team. Hence Bhuvneshwar Kumar, an experienced Indian pacer, is a leading bowler in the squad. Unlike last season, he will be part of every game in IPL 2021 as his presence will strengthen the team’s bowling department.
T Natarajan
In absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar from IPL 2020, T Natarajan grabbed the limelight for his contribution to bowling. After Rashid Khan, Natrajan was the leading wicket-taker for Sunrisers Hyderabad. With his speciality to bowl yorkers, he invited appreciations from cricket fans. After his impressive bowling in IPL 2020, he also got a call in the national team. He was part of the Indian team during India vs Australia 2020-21 series and earned applauds for his performance during the tournament. Now, he is among the top contenders who will be part of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s playing 11 in IPL 2021.
