IPL 2021 is set to begin next month with the first match on April 9, 2021. Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore will face each other in the first match in Chennai. The tournament is set to take place at six different venues across the country.

The tournament will conclude with the final match at Narendra Modi cricket stadium in Ahmadabad on May 30, 2021. Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Rajasthan Royals are the eight teams who will be part of IPL 2021.

Due to Covid-19 concerns in the country, BCCI has taken several measures for IPL 2021. For instance, only 6 venues will host all the matches. Each team will travel just three times during the group stages. The initial matches will be held under closed doors but a call will be taken later to allow spectators inside the stadium.

IPL is one tournament that witnesses players hitting brilliant knocks during matches. Many cricketers have hit big knocks in the Indian Premier League which still is part of the record books.
