The Royal Challengers Bangalore will be hoping to change their fortunes around in IPL 2021 as they haven’t won an IPL title so far in the thirteen editions. Despite having the likes of Virat Kohli and AB Devilliers in the team, RCB has always struggled to win the IPL title which is very surprising.

RCB decided to release Chris Morris ahead of the auction though he had a good impact for them with the new ball and in the death overs in IPL 2020. They spent in big purse for the Maxwell and New Zealand sensation Kyle Jamieson in the IPL auction 2021.

IPL 2021: 5 Reasons Why Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Can Win The Title This Year

5. Presence Of King Kohli

Virat Kohli is by far, the greatest match-winner for India in the last decade and has broken most of the records in international cricket. He is the highest run-scorer in IPL history with 5878 runs overall. He can take the team home on his own and has shown already how lethal he can be in the T20 format.

He has five centuries in the IPL which is the most by any Indian batsman in IPL history and he has captained India exceedingly well in the international games. He will be itching to get his hands on the trophy for the first time after missing out narrowly in 2009,2011 and 2016 in the finals.

4. AB Devilliers 360 degree Batting

De Villiers is a sensational cricketer and there is hardly anything that he cannot do on the cricket field. He can play in the top order, bat in the middle, or smack it at the end which gives the captain much more options. His ability to play on 360 degrees throughout the field makes him a tough batsman to bowl.

He has won matches for RCB single-handedly and his wide range of shots is unbelievable. His fielding is so good that it is hard for Kohli to keep him behind the stumps for the team balance. The presence of Devilliers can be a great addition to have for Kohli in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.

3. Devdutt Padikkal’s Form

Devdutt Padikall was in prime form in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy where he notched up 572 runs in 5 innings at an average of 190.66. He hit three centuries and two fifties in the tournament so far and is leading the charts for most runs in the current season.

Devdutt Padikkal showed a lot of composure in the IPL 2020 and was one of the finds of the season. He finished as the top run-getter for the Royal Challengers Bangalore last season and they will be having high expectations of him.

2. Good Picks In The Auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore made some wise choices in the IPL Auction 2021 as they bought Maxwell for 14.25 crore and Kyle Jamieson for 15 crores. But their most important pick was Daniel Christian who will be key to provide some stability in the middle order. Jamieson hasn’t had much experience in the limited-overs games but is already a star in the longest format.

Maxwell can blow hot and cold, and if he comes off, he can be devastating. He has shown good form for Australia in their recent games and RCB will be hoping that Maxwell has a good season.

1. Indian Seamers Gaining Experience

RCB’s main drawback was their Indian fast bowling units not clicking but now they have some international experience within Navdeep Saini and Mohammad Siraj. Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar have been really good in the limited-overs format for India which will be a much-needed entity.

If the Indian seamers have a good season, then most of the holes in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team would have been filled and they have traded in Harshal Patel from Delhi who can be good with his slower ones.
